Hasnt been since May that I’ve had my feet on Louisiana soil…it’s good to be back again.
Nothing too special happened today. Like steve martin in The Jerk, I couldnt find a rythym. Managed to put up 46 miles tho.
I did see my second “stacked out” barge. It was carrying the max capacity of containers 7 deep x 7 wide. Each of these containers holds the freight of 10 semi truck trailers…so 500 semi trucks were cruising right with me. Very cool. But Mad Dog told me that theyd be dwarfed by the ocean going vessels I’ll see between BR and Nola.
Tomorrow a dude named Layne (Quapaw Canoe affiliate) is picking me up in Vicksburg. We will eat pizza. It will be amazing.

I wish I were there to see you arrive! I loved seeing you when you arrived in Clearwater. The smile and grin on your face
was worth so much to see. I know it will be an amazing feat. Love the hell out of you son. You are just too freaking awesome.
Keep staying safe.
Much love,
May the smiles of the Gods shine on you
