Oh, don’t get me wrong – I’m getting my fair share (not enough, though) of paddling the White and Mississinewa this summer. But we’re just now finally contemplating an overnighter. We’ll be thinking about you!
I’m just catching up on your last 10 days or so. Glad you’ve made it to the Mississippi – you’ve had quite the journey so far…may you have smooth waters ahead!

I hope “whiskey and cigs dumped since day 5” actually means “whiskey and cigs all consumed by day 5.”

No wonder you get up at 5:30 am. It must take awhile to put everything back in its place. As I said, I’m not as worried as I was. I still have concerns but I know you are becoming more and more skilled. I can’t say that I won’t rest easier when this is over.
I love you.
