A big thunderstorm did roll through the ‘boro last night. Not even 10 minutes into it my tent pole snapped and the tent collapsed. So I got out in the wet and earned my junior McGuyver badge and created a nice splint for it. Very glad I bought the 100 pack of zipties.
Called MSR and they are overnighting the frame segments to the fedex in town so I can repair them.
So now I wait out the two more bouts of tstorms that are supposed to roll through and tomorrow I will make a day out of securing my food, water, and shelter–and power for phone. After that I should be making a pretty good clip on a daily basis.
My body feels strong and my mind is right. Excited to get back on the water tomorrow.

Did you make it into town to revitalize your batteries? I assume so, since you posted. Necessity is the mother of invention.
Love, Nana.

Lol. Very resourceful and innovative. But can you make a bomb out of a paper clip, a bungee cord and a can of tuna? Good job son! I haven’t spoken to you for awhile. Please when you get stationary give me a call. We can talk about how your pectoral muscles are holding out :D. I really miss you and have been bragging to everyone around here about how awesome my son is! Give me a call soon son. Much love!
